The Mafate Speed ??4, Hoka's purebred mountain model, is built to swallow the many hard kilometers and be worn during long races and training sessions. Impressive and technologically upgraded, it has a seemingly contradictory combination of maximum absorption and minimum weight, The main improvement over its very successful predecessor concerns the use of Active Foot frame technology in which the sole "snaps" into the shoe thus providing excellent fit and stability on large inclines. With its also improved Meta-Rocker geometry, it will guide the foot in a more natural way of running. Very big improvement in the sole as well since it uses the top Vibram® Megagrip, while its design with the 4mm "heels" will give better traction than that that we all loved in the previous version of the shoe.
